Before Your Procedure
In the weeks leading up to surgery
- The office will set up a pre-admit appointment, typically about a week before surgery.
- Blood work and any other testing will be done the day of pre-admit.
- Discuss all medications with your surgeon, including aspirin, NSAIDs, and blood thinners.
- Report any new infections or health issues before your surgery date.
- Arrange a responsible adult to drive you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours.
- Prepare your home by keeping essentials within reach and removing trip hazards.
- Bring your photo ID, insurance card, and current medication list.
- Follow all fasting and medication instructions from your doctor.
